A participatory movement/sound piece which relates a performance space to the space of the page. Sound is used to highlight aspects of the performance area. I wrote Whitespace in 2017 as a way of exploring my studio for my PhD research project, Studio/Stage: Entangling private and public creative spaces through interdisciplinary composition.
Several performances have been documented, both as a solo work and group performance, in locations ranging from the Snape Maltings Sculpture Park (embedded above), to a seminar room at Bath Spa University and a muddy path on the Sussex Downs. These are available in a playlist on YouTube.
