Honegger cipher

So this is a VERY quick and dirty tool to translate text into pitches using a cipher developed by Honegger. I will freely confess that I don’t know too much about this cipher, except that it was on a handout of assorted musical ciphers that I received at a (very interesting) presentation on musical cryptography given by John Woolrich in 2013.

The original version rises in pitch as it goes along, but I like to try to form melodic connections as much as possible, so I just use the pitch names and then choose the octave according to whatever seems best for the application, hence this version only displaying note names and not octaves. At some point I may develop this further to, say, understand spaces and display notation, but for now it does what I need it to. Feel free to have a play with it.
